Title: Flood Risk Engineer Type: Full-time, Permanent, Remote. Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 Location: Norfolk, mostly home-based with some site and office visitation.

We're looking for a Flood Risk Engineer in Norfolk (home based).

Key Responsibilities

As a Flood Risk Engineer, you will work alongside the operations manager to run the maintenance programme of the local Drainage Board, including its assets.

This will include the following responsibilities:

  • Create engineering drawings using AutoCAD for construction designs and work plans.
  • Produce health and safety documents, including Front Sheet, Risk Assessment, Method Statement and Emergency Plan, for numerous projects and temporary works.
  • Provide knowledge and assistance with all matters relating to flood mitigation, water level management, and river restoration projects..
  • Produce invitations to tender.
  • Visit sites and carry out topographical surveys using Trimble GPS.
  • Costing, plant delivery and access management.
  • Liaise with clients and contractors.

Key Requirements

  • A relevant degree, HND or HNC in an engineering-related discipline, as well as 3+ years post-graduation experience.
  • Hold a clean, full/valid UK driving license.
  • Working knowledge of civil engineering projects in the Flood Risk or drainage industry, with knowledge of River Restoration and environmental improvements, is a distinct advantage.
  • AutoCAD experience, is essential.
  • A working knowledge of the Construction Design & Management Regulations (CDM 2015).

Desirable

  • Be working towards Chartered or Incorporated professional status with the ICE or MCIWEM.
  • Knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 ECC/PSC contracts.
  • First Aid at Work

  • CSCS Card
