We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Pastry Chef Lecturer to join our hospitality department. This temporary position requires an individual who is exceptionally skilled in pastry making and baking. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality lectures and practical demonstrations in pastry arts to our students.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Deliver lectures and practical demonstrations in pastry making and baking techniques.
  • Develop and prepare course materials, including syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts.
  • Evaluate and grade students' class work, assignments, and papers.
  • Maintain student attendance records, grades, and other required records.
  • Prepare and order food supplies and equipment for demonstrations and practical sessions.
  • Stay updated with current trends in pastry making and baking to enhance the curriculum.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to students aspiring to become professional pastry chefs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef with exceptional skills in pastry making and baking.
  • Experience in teaching or a strong willingness to develop teaching skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills.
  • A formal qualification in culinary arts, specifically in pastry making and baking, is highly desirable.
