Senior Management Accountant
Based: Bolton
Salary: up to £65k dependent on experience + bonus + benefits
Our client is a rapidly expanding , acquisitive business offering fantastic opportunities for growth internally. Having grown over the last 20+ years they are now a market-leader in their industry based from offices in the Lancashire area. Due to continued growth, we are looking for strong Management Accountant to join the team. This role will have a BAU element to it alongside assisting the wider business with the implementation of finance improvements in various areas (systems, processes etc)
Role:
- Preparing monthly management accounts & producing monthly & quarterly results for wider finance teams
- Detailed variance analysis with supporting commentary of variances to budget and prior year
- Assisting with monthly, half year and year end group reporting packs
- Producing monthly P&L reports, liaising with wider departments highlighting variances to budgets and advising budget holders on recommendations
- Posting journals including accruals, prepayments & income
- Supporting commercial teams with performance analysis to aid decision making including annual budgets and re-forecasts
- Ensuring balance sheet reconciliations are prepared and correct
- Managing fixed asset register and ensuring timely postings
- Assisting in year-end statutory audit process
- Assisting with implementation of controls across finance and continuous improvement through processes
Experience:
- ACA qualified, practice trained
- Experience in a large multi-site / multi-national business (PLC / FTSE / Listed)
- Experience of management accounts & strong analytical skills
- Strong communication and attention to detail
- PowerBI experience advantageous but not essential
