Scania GB - Leadership Team

Due to an internal move, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Scania Great Britain Leadership Team, as Regional Director for our South-East region.

The primary responsibility of the Regional Director is to proactively lead, manage and develop the region with a strong people, culture, customer, and business focus. Crucially, you will drive the business forward ensuring the highest possible standards in all the region does, with safety at the forefront.

Our South-East Region comprises of 5 Scania branches (South Mimms, Gatwick, Maidstone, Purfleet, Stanstead). Working with your Leadership Team colleagues, you will define and implement the strategy for the region, continuously monitoring and improving the use of existing business processes and methods. You will oversee daily operations to achieve financial and business performance targets, thereby contributing to Scania's overall profitability.

As a proactive member of the Scania GB Leadership Team, you will regularly participate in discussions on various topics often outside of your regional remit, focussed on driving the business forwards both culturally and financially.

You would also be expected to travel to our Milton Keynes Head Office and other locations.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead - as Regional Director you will lead, coach, develop and work alongside your five Branch Managers.
  • Ensure continuous improvement - create a culture of continuous improvement by regularly reviewing all business processes to ensure an exceptional service is delivered to our customers and increased profitability throughout the region.
  • Collaborate - work with stakeholders throughout the business, both regional and Head Office to achieve business goals and customer satisfaction.
  • Business acumen - use your understanding of business processes, financial accounts, and outcomes to monitor and enhance performance.
  • Health & Safety - in all the region undertakes, you will ensure that safety is the primary focus, creating and safeguarding a sustainable working environment for all employees.
  • Scania Leadership team - you will be an important part of the overall Leadership Team in Scania GB, working alongside your peers to improve the business outside of your regional scope.
  • Scania Core values - embody the Scania Core values, being a visible and present ambassador throughout your region and the wider business.
