Red Recruitment is recruiting a Household Claims Team Lead (Large Loss) to work in the South of England for our client, one of the largest car and home insurers in the UK with four million customers.
You will be required to lead a team of Consultants as well as handle a portfolio of the highest value/complex claims.
The salary for this position is £40,000 - £60,000 per annum.

Key Responsibilities of a Household Claims Team Lead:
- Leading a team of handlers, enabling the team to develop their technical skills and provide a quality service
- Handling claims quickly, efficiently and in accordance with laid-down procedures
- Dealing with complaints in accordance with the current guidelines and with FSA regulations
- Assisting in the development of claims handlers from outside of the Household Large Loss claims
- Managing claims to ensure that the interests of the customers are appropriately considered and met
Key Skills and Experience of a Household Claims Team Lead:
- A proven track record of regularly handling claims with values in excess of £500,000
- Strong leadership and people management skills are required
- Exceptional technical expertise, analytical skills and attention to detail are required
- An extensive working knowledge of household large loss claims environment is essential
- A full understanding of the key drivers of claims cost containment and service provision (including management of recoveries and experience in leading and promoting fraud investigations)
