Acorn by Synergie is excited to be recruiting for a forward thinking and pragmatic Logistics Manager to join a friendly and dynamic team on the outskirts of Barnstaple in North Devon.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all sales orders, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Salary:£30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
Main Purpose of Job:
- Manage and coordinate all transport operations through external hauliers.
- Prepare all Delivery and Collection notes for goods outward bound.
- Plan and organise haulage for all customer orders, using our full load hauliers and pallet network.
- Maintaining communication with transport planners to ensure trailers arrive to collect and deliver on timed booking slots.
- Assist with accurate record keeping and traceability for goods dispatched.
- Understand production plans in order to organise and order materials to be on site in a timely manner.
- Process all new orders onto the system whilst obtaining booking times and references from our customers.
- Manage goods inward, check stock and record keeping for the benefit of our accounts team and our customers that we co pack for.
- Communicate with and maintain customer relationships to resolve any queries.
- Handle customer queries and complaints in a professional manner.
Knowledge, skills and experience required:
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong communication skills to liaise with drivers, customers, and internal teams
- Experience in supply chain management and logistics
- Demonstrated leadership abilities to guide a team effectively
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
