School Cleaner - Part Time & Term Time Only
Salary £14,615 includes pro-rata holiday pay.
Our client is a thriving private school located in a beautiful setting on the outskirts of Rye, East Sussex. We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic term-time only cleaner to join our friendly team and ensure the school remains a clean and healthy environment for pupils and staff.
Hours:
7am till 1pm Monday to Friday Term Time Only (will be needed to work 20 hours during the summer holidays)
The Role
We are looking for a self-motivated individual to work as part of our cleaning team, responsible for maintaining the high standards of cleanliness throughout the school during term time. You will be responsible for cleaning a variety of areas including classrooms, corridors, offices, staff rooms and toilets.
Key duties will include:
- Vacuuming carpeted areas and mopping hard floors
- Dusting furniture and surfaces
- Cleaning toilets and washrooms to a high standard
- Replenishing soap dispensers and paper towels
- Emptying bins and disposing of waste responsibly
- Reporting any maintenance issues to the Site Manager
- Following all health and safety procedures
You will be:
- Reliable and trustworthy, with a commitment to high standards
- A good team player with a positive and can-do attitude
- Physically fit and able to perform cleaning duties
- Meticulous and detail-oriented
- Discreet and able to maintain confidentiality
- Flexible and able to work unsupervised
Previous school cleaning experience is desirable but not essential. Full training will be provided on all cleaning equipment and procedures.
Term Time Only
This is a term-time only position with working hours of 7am till 1pm Monday to Friday (will be needed to work 20 hours during the summer holidays) The school is closed during all school holidays.
