Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Family Worker for a Local Authority Client based in North London.
In this role, you will provide targeted early help and family support to improve well-being, educational outcomes, and reduce inequalities for families from pregnancy through to age 19.
About the role:
You will be tasked with delivering key strategic objectives:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and families' needs using established frameworks and screening tools.
- Develop and implement whole-family action plans, setting and evaluating progress toward shared outcomes.
- Identify and manage safeguarding concerns, working to improve outcomes for at-risk children and adults.
- Encourage and support families to engage in services, fostering sustainable positive outcomes.
- Maintain and prioritise a caseload of families, ensuring timely, needs-based support.
About you:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
- Experience working directly with children, young people, and families.
- Experience managing a varied caseload and prioritising cases based on risk and need.
- Proven ability to assess and identify family needs using structured frameworks and screening tools.
- Familiarity with safeguarding practices, including experience working with at-risk children and vulnerable families.
What's on offer:
Salary: £20+ph
- may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6, months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
Hybrid Working - 3 days on site, 2 days worked from home
