We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team, working on key technology functions within the Commercial IT and Parcels team. This role involves managing significant change projects and requires a professional with a strong background in project management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle challenging stakeholder relationships.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Lead and deliver change projects effectively, ensuring project objectives are met on time and within budget.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with a broad audience, maintaining high standards of written and verbal communication.
  • Demonstrate resilience and drive, maintaining progress and resolving issues with persistence.
  • Employ good delegation and negotiation skills to manage project tasks and stakeholder expectations.
  • Remain calm and maintain perspective in challenging situations.
  • Manage stakeholders effectively, including those who may be challenging or demanding.
  • Apply commercial acumen and value-driven supplier management to project tasks.
  • Oversee financial management aspects of the project.
  • Provide technical knowledge and support to the project team for issue resolution.
  • Encourage innovation and creative problem-solving within the team.
  • Set clear, unambiguous targets and hold individuals, teams, and suppliers accountable.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in successfully delivering change projects.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Resilience and the ability to remain composed under pressure.
  • Experience in stakeholder and people management.
  • Commercial awareness and financial management skills.
  • Technical knowledge to support project teams.
  • Innovative and creative thinking with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of both traditional and modern software/IT development lifecycles (Agile, Iterative, and Waterfall).

Desirable:

  • Understanding of Parcel Systems.
  • Experience in Agile/Lean teams using SCRUM, KANBAN, XP delivery process frameworks.
  • Continuous Improvement knowledge.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Jira, HP Application Lifecycle Management, and MS Office tools.
  • Experience in managing single to multiple external suppliers.
