Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced QTS ICT Teacher to join our vibrant secondary school in Derby. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality ICT education to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. This is a full-time position starting in September.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning and Delivering Lessons: Design and implement engaging and effective ICT lessons that meet the needs of all students.

Assessment and Marking: Regularly assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records of student attainment.

Classroom Management: Create and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment, effectively managing challenging behavior in accordance with school policies.

Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development of the ICT curriculum, ensuring it is relevant, up-to-date, and meets national standards.

Support and Mentoring: Provide support and mentorship to students, fostering a love for learning and ICT.

Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience and outcomes for students.

Parental Engagement: Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any issues that arise.

Essential Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Must hold a valid QTS certification.

Experience: Proven experience teaching ICT up to Key Stage 3, 4, and 5.

Classroom Management: Demonstrated ability to manage challenging behavior and create a positive learning environment.

Knowledge: Strong understanding of the UK ICT curriculum and current educational practices.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to the school community.
