About the Role

We are seeking a committed and proactive Behaviour Improvement Officer to join our school community starting in September. This vital role involves supporting students within the isolation room, helping them to reflect on their behavior, and providing strategies to improve and succeed both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support students in the isolation room, ensuring a calm and productive environment.
  • Develop and implement behavior improvement plans tailored to individual student needs.
  • Work one-on-one with students to address behavioral issues and help them develop positive behavior strategies.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, maintaining accurate records.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to provide comprehensive support for students.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of behavior-related interventions and workshops.
  • Provide guidance and support to students on conflict resolution, emotional regulation, and social skills.

Requirements

  • Experience working with young people in an educational or behavioral support capacity.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to helping students improve their behavior and succeed.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in education, behavior management, or counseling are desirable but not essential.
