About the role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Workshop Supervisor to lead our team of skilled fitters in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. As the Workshop Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed, and driving team performance. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong workshop background and leadership experience to further develop their skills and grow within our business.
You will be responsible for the:
- Working Monday - Friday, 08:00-16:00 or 07:00-15:00 (with flexibility to liaise with night shift)
- Lead and supervise a team of fitters, ensuring efficient daily workshop operations.
- Act as the Health and Safety lead for the site, driving forwards standards, whilst ensuring all safety protocols, processes, procedures and regulations are upheld.
- Coordinate with all shifts to ensure smooth operational handovers.
- Implement and maintain high standards of work and safety throughout the workshop.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members to enhance performance and development.
- Ensure all work is completed in a timely manner, meeting quality standards.
About you
We are looking for a candidate with a strong workshop background, including hands-on experience in supervision or team leadership. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. Strong knowledge of Health & Safety is essential, ideally with a NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, or a willingness to achieve this within six months. Excellent communication skills are required to liaise with colleagues across shifts.
