Learning Support Assistant

Horizon Teachers are currently seeking a highly motivated and reliable individual to join a Good' rated Secondary School in Southwark as a Learning Support Assistant commencing in September 2024. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing support to students with learning disabilities or special educational needs. You will work closely with teachers and other professionals to ensure that each student receives the necessary assistance and guidance to achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to students with learning disabilities or special educational needs.
  • Implement individualised learning plans for students, in collaboration with teachers and other professionals.
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Monitor student progress, identify areas for improvement, and provide feedback to teachers and parents/guardians.
