Title: University Access Officer
Location: West Yorkshire
Pay: £23,400 (£14,040) per annum
Duration: 3 days per week, Fixed Term, until August 2025 with potential of extension.
Reed - Further Education are seeking a University Access Officer to support students from under-resourced backgrounds to access top universities.
What's the day-to-day responsibilities of a University Access Officer?
- Engage with students in school and enrol them onto the programme
- Match students with volunteer tutors
- Monitor student attendance to tutorials and devise innovative solutions to encourage attendance
- Assess student progress towards being able to make successful university applications
- Upload information onto the Salesforce database (training is provided)
- Monitor the impact of tutorials, and intervene as appropriate
- Build and manage relationships with volunteer tutors to ensure they have a positive experience of the programme
What are the required skills and qualifications needed for this role?
- Previous experience working with post-16 students
- Previous experience assisting students with UCAS applications
- Able to deliver projects and manage administration accurately
- Able to communicate and influence with impact at all levels
- Experience interacting with 16–19-year-olds in education or apprentice setting.
- Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths
