Job Title: Civil Enforcement Officer - Contract Position
Location: Monmouthshire County Council, County Hall
Working Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00)

Monmouthshire County Council is seeking a qualified Civil Enforcement Officer to assist with parking enforcement duties. This temporary role is to cover for long-term sickness and will involve enforcing and patrolling both on-street and off-street parking regulations throughout the county.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine patrols to ensure parking compliance.
  • Issue Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) where parking regulations are breached.
  • Provide advice and assistance to the public regarding parking restrictions.
  • Operate enforcement equipment (such as handheld devices) to log parking violations.
  • Travel across the county in a vehicle provided by the council.

Requirements:

  • City & Guilds Level 2 qualification in Parking Enforcement (minimum).
  • A valid UK driving license is essential.
  • Good knowledge of parking legislation and enforcement procedures.
  • Ability to deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner.
