Job Title: Temporary Management Accountant
Location: Telford (5 days a week on site)
Duration: 6 months (maybe temp to perm)
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join our finance team on a temporary basis. This role will support the financial operations of our organization, ensuring accurate reporting, forecasting, and budgeting. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.
- Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Analyze financial performance and provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with departmental heads to gather financial data and assess resource allocation.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Monitor financial performance against budget, investigating variances and proposing corrective actions.
- Maintain financial records and ensure accuracy and completeness of data.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports for stakeholders.
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis as required.
Qualifications:
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience in management accounting, preferably in a temporary or contract capacity.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and analysis.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
