Are you a qualified accountant looking for a dynamic role where you can make a real impact on a firm's financial operations? We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Tax Accountant our client, with primary responsibility for maintaining and reconciling the firm's tax and partners' tax accounts. In this role, you'll ensure that tax payments and reserve calculations are accurately recorded and reconciled in Elite 3e. You will also work closely with the Partner Matters Accounts Assistant on partner-related transactions, making this a pivotal role in ensuring financial accuracy and compliance.

The London office at the firm you will be joining, offers a dynamic and rewarding experience, combining the prestige of a leading global law firm with a collaborative and supportive environment. The firm provides excellent career development opportunities, with ongoing training and mentoring, and is at the forefront of innovation, embracing cutting-edge tools to enhance efficiency. The firm massively values diversity and inclusion, creating a welcoming workplace where everyone can thrive, while also emphasising work-life balance through flexible arrangements and wellness initiatives. All in all, this is an ideal place to grow as an Accounting professional.

As the Tax Accountant, you will manage a variety of key tasks, from overseeing partner and firm tax payments to handling complex tax reserve calculations and reconciliations. Your role will involve collaborating with partners and senior management across the firm, providing clarity on compensation and tax balances, and ensuring that all financial records are up-to-date and accurate. You will also assist with the preparation of partner payments, including monthly drawings, quarterly distributions, and bi-annual bonuses, ensuring everything runs smoothly and on schedule. Your expertise will be invaluable in simplifying and improving the firm's data collection and calculation processes, particularly through the use of Excel. You'll have the opportunity to work on historical reconciliations, contribute to ongoing process improvements, and participate in the firm's technology transformation initiatives. Additionally, you'll be involved in ad hoc projects, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the department.

Ideally you will be a qualified accountant (ICAEW, ICAS, or ACCA preferred) with strong Excel skills and experience with 3E or similar accounting software. If you are detail-oriented, enjoy working collaboratively, and are eager to take on a role that offers both challenge and opportunity, we encourage you to apply today.
