Join us as a Financial Analyst! In this role, you'll take the lead in developing our comprehensive 30-year business plan and play a key role in overseeing capital funding for our development program. We're looking for someone with strong experience in business planning and financial analysis, who is proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to make a significant impact.

This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract position.

What you'll be doing

  • Prepare the 30-year business plan and update the plan quarterly, using Sequel and Brixx software to align performance with projections.
  • Conduct annual and ad-hoc stress tests to assess risks and develop recovery plans.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, ensuring alignment with covenants and forecasts.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights for new development schemes, corporate projects and strategy.
  • Support project managers with cash flow forecasting and variance monitoring.
  • Prepare regulatory returns and assist with appraisals and contractor analysis.
  • Enhance financial accuracy and processes.
  • Ensure high-quality data input for business planning.
  • Partner with departments for financial planning and decision-making.
  • Assist in preparing board presentations and cover for finance colleagues.
  • Compile information and analysis for credit rating agencies.
  • Commit to excellent customer service, meeting corporate strategies and values.

Essential skills and experience

  • Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
  • Experience with MRI Housing Brixx
  • Experience with SDS Sequel and ProVal (desirable)
  • Data manipulation from various sources
  • Performance monitoring, development, and reporting
  • Develop/maintain monitoring systems
  • Ensure timely info from staff
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Meet deadlines, organise/prioritise effectively
  • Analytical, logical, meticulous
  • Innovative, commercially astute, problem identifier
  • Understand equality/diversity principles
  • Explain financial info to non-financial professionals
