Our customer is a well-established, award-winning tour specialist working exclusively with us to recruit a Business Development Manager. They excel in uncovering global destinations, offering tailor-made tours for groups, solo travellers, and private parties. The Business Development Manager will join a team committed to excellence in every aspect of their operations. They constantly push the boundaries of what's possible in travel, crafting well-planned itineraries and providing personalised customer service.

Job Description:

In this role, you'll boost sales by identifying, initiating and developing new business opportunities, implementing targeted strategies to enhance brand presence, and uncovering new travel revenue streams. You'll also work with overseas GSA's to drive brand awareness and new business opportunities.

  • Identify, build and develop new travel business opportunities, always aiming to strengthen collaborations
  • Represent the brand and work with the sales department on tailor-made Private Group Tours and special travel requests outside standard programmes
  • Attend events to engage with key decision-makers and create partnerships
  • Understand business goals and communicate them clearly and confidently presenting the company's portfolio to various audiences
  • Make good use of tools like social media, marketing materials, and training

Experience Required:

  • Experience in driving business from community or education groups or travel groups
  • Skilled at creating and carrying out regional plans to boost sales
  • Highly target-driven
  • Hunter mentality (this is not an account manager role)
  • Well presented being the face of the brand
  • Skilled at communicating ideas across various business tiers
  • Able to guide and support team members
  • Puts customers first in all decisions
  • Outgoing personality, and able to make a lasting impression
  • Confident in handling various work situations and able to find solutions
