A Project Manager is needed to support a leading pharmaceutical company**.**

Job Overview

Join our client as a Project Manager in the Transformation Management Office (TMO). This role is a key player in managing and driving transformation and improvement projects within their Research & Development Biopharmaceutical Clinical Operations function. The ambition is to implement connected, optimised clinical planning processes & systems, with data at the core, to drive great cross-enterprise decision-making.

  • Location: Cambridge, CB2 0AA (hybrid working - once every 4 weeks on-site)
  • Contract: 12 months
  • Rate: £550 per day through umbrella
  • Hours: 40 hours, Monday to Friday

Key Competencies

  • Support the PMO Director and wider programme on activities related to project management, across multiple programs.
  • Lead large-scale projects directly, taking charge of full scope and deployment activities.
  • Spearhead transformative initiatives from conception to execution, leveraging your expertise and leadership to drive impactful outcomes.
  • Manage and oversee transformation and improvement projects, ensuring seamless integration across our various functions in R&D.
  • Act as a key liaison between stakeholders and the project team, ensuring clear communication and alignment of project goals.
  • Represent the team in various forums, ensuring the project's vision and objectives are clearly communicated and understood.
  • To serve as an extension of the transformation office, driving continuous improvement and innovation across all project activities.

Experience Needed

  • Experience working in the pharmaceutical/life sciences industries.
  • Expertise in programme/project management, with a proven track record
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills with the ability to influence others to achieve objectives
  • Experience of defining business strategies and influencing the key stakeholders of the vision for the business area
  • Strong networking/consulting skills with good internal/external links
  • Ability to convince and manage negotiations across a complex group
