An opportunity has arisen for an Electronic Test Technician to join a UK company manufacturing leading technology protection relays and medium voltage circuit breakers often for highly critical electrical power systems across a global client base.
As Electronic Test Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Inspecting and testing PCBs after manufacturing and also assembling final products.
- Reporting to the Validation Manager and working closely with both the production and product test teams
- Assisting in diagnosing and fault finding
- Maintaining and updating work procedures, for a safe working environment
- Calibrating and testing protection relays in their final stage of the build process.
- Using Automated test Equipment and some manual testing via Current & Voltage Injection Equipment.
We're looking for an Electronic Test Technician with:
- A strong technical background and one with working knowledge of optical inspection and
testing activities.
- The ability to work on written instructions and bills of materials.
- Previous experience within an electronics/manufacturing environment is essential.
- Knowledge of the tools used in an electronics environment.
- The ability to demonstrate knowledge of PCB production processes.
- Familiarity with automatic optical inspection programming and operation.
You will be working 37.5 hours per week, onsite in Manchester.
