Your new company
I am engaged on an exclusive project to recruit an API / Integration Engineer with Python skills for an award-winning international business based in Poole, 2 minutes from the beach and on direct train routes to London. This role can be worked hybrid or mainly remote with a team meeting once a month.
This is a hands-on position where you will contribute to the code, but they are open to hiring a mid-level individual contributor, or a Senior API Engineer with an interest in architecture and mentoring.

Your new role
This is a unique opportunity on the South Coast. You'll be joining a newly formed team with a global electronics business, helping them to automate tasks and improve efficiency as they undertake various modernisation projects. You will become one of the go-to people for integrations within the business. They are looking for someone to challenge the status quo and guide them towards modern ways of working.

You'll have the chance to contribute to a global culture working in a distributed team across 3 continents. Day to day you'll design, code, verify and tests complex documents and scripts, will proactively identify automation opportunities and will oversee a myriad of cloud and on-prem applications ensuring they talk to each other correctly.

What you'll need to succeed
We're looking for:

A minimum of 4 years working hands-on with Python specifically facing REST API / Integration projects, right up to 10+ years and a Tech Lead level.

You should be flexible to work across Windows/Linux and will have worked on cloud solutions (ideally in Azure).

Communication and interpersonal skills supplement all of this. You will be working in a dispersed team internationally and you must have excellent comms skills.

Nice to have include knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment tools, GIT, OpenAPI (Swagger), SQL/T-SQL and Elasticsearch.

Working on ERP systems or within an Ecommerce/Manufacturing/Electronics business will be advantageous.
