Learning Disabilities Support Worker - Holyport and Maidenhead SL6

Support Worker - Ronald Young Court SL6 Full-Time and Part-Time - from £11.70 per hour

Our teams provide individualised care and support for people with learning disabilities, autistic people and people with physical disabilities living in their community. At Optalis, we recognise that each person has unique interests, needs and preferences. We support our customers to be self-sufficient and work closely with them and their support networks to explore options to help them reach their goals.

We are recruiting forfull-time and part-time support workers to cover various hours at;

  • Ronald Young Court - a 9 bed independent living service for customers with mild to moderate learning disabilities in Holyport
  • Tithe Barn - a 2 bed independent living service for female customers with moderate to severe learning disabilities, located on the outskirts of Maidenhead near to Fifield

Unless local, this role would be best suited for people with access to their own transport due to the location and limited public transport services.

Experience in the care sector would be beneficial but is not necessary as full training will provided. Your role will be to support our customers in their day-to-day lives and could include assistance with personal care, managing medication, shopping and meal preparation, and supporting with emotional and physical wellbeing. We also provide support with life skills such as improving confidence, managing finances and being part of the local community to maintain important relationships.
