Branch Banking Officer (Arabic) - Private Banking

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Arabic speaking Cashier/Branch Operations to deliver over the counter services efficiently and courteously at our client's office branch in London. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a prestigious international bank and contribute to its success.

To be eligible for this role, you should meet the following criteria:

  • Fluent to native-level proficiency in Arabic.
  • Previous experience in a branch or cashier role in the UK or abroad.
  • Interest in permanent employment with the bank.
  • Availability to work on-site at the Mayfair branch five days a week, Monday to Friday (no weekend work required).
  • Familiarity with conventional banking products (the bank is not fully Islamic-focused).
  • Ability to effectively converse with and serve customers from the GCC/Gulf region.
  • To be able to accept this role with no sponsorship required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain tills in both Sterling and Foreign Currency, handle staff and customer travel orders.
  • Process cheques and counter debits drawn upon customers' accounts held in Retail Branches in London.
  • Encash drafts drawn upon the bank.
  • Accept credits, whether cash or cheque, to accounts held with Retail Branches in London.
  • Handle internal and external transfer requests and issue cheque books.
  • Purchase and sell foreign currency notes and travellers' cheques.
  • Input transactions into the host computer via the Teller Sub-System.
  • Update information for MIS/Statistical Reporting.
  • Respond to telephone queries and assist with filing at the branch.
  • Assist with the replenishment of ATMs.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar environment is essential.
  • Proficiency in both English and Arabic speaking is required.
  • Strong skills in English and Mathematics.
  • PC literate.
