Senior Compliance Officer

Equifind have teamed up with an exciting start-up payments firm in London, who are looking to add a senior compliance analyst to join the business.

The business has been performing exceptionally and as a result of this growth, they are looking to add to the team to match this trajectory.

As a senior compliance analyst, you will join the compliance team and support the chief compliance officer with all thing's compliance. A real all-round role involving onboarding clients, ALM processes, transaction monitoring and everything else compliance related.

Key duties and responsibilities for this senior compliance analyst position include:

  • Manage the new client onboarding process, guiding clients through the onboarding process, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Complete due diligence checks on potential clients to identify and mitigate risks associated with AML and KYC regulations. Verify client information and perform background checks using internal and external data sources
  • Provide client support in the team and act as a primary point of contact for clients throughout the onboarding process, addressing their inquiries, providing guidance, and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Stay up to date with relevant regulatory compliance requirements and industry best practices.
  • Manage SARs submissions, both internally and externally
  • Management and enhancement of internal compliance monitoring
  • Oversight of the firm's governance structures including the SMCR framework
  • Ensure the compliance monitoring of appointed representatives is up to date
  • Keep up to date with FCA rules and legislations
  • Assist with financial crime audits

Experience & Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years' practical experience in a compliance/onboarding/transactional monitoring position
  • A strong understanding of compliance and onboarding
  • Knowledge of the payments or currency world would be a big plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Proficiency in using multiple CRM systems
  • Knowledge of FCA industry standards, regulations, and anti-financial crime matters
  • Be a real team player

Salary

This exciting opportunity for a senior compliance analyst will ideally start in the next month.

We will be looking at candidates in the range of £50k-£65k, depending on individual backgrounds, qualifications, and years of experience.

This is an office-based opportunity in central London and requires you to be in the office 5 days per week, working 9-5. Flexibility will be granted when you have proven yourself.
