Estates Surveyor
Salary - Up to £450 Per Day
Location - Kent
Temporary Contract
We are seeking an Estates Surveyor based in Kent who is educated to a degree level in a similar field, and is looking to take on a fresh challenge.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Asset Management, assist in managing the business disposal Portfolio and Asset Disposal Programme
- Preparing information and reports to ensure compliance with governance regarding the disposal of surplus assets
- Facilitate all necessary due diligence by engaging with external advisors and providers to explore disposal options effectively
- Oversee lower value and non-complex disposals through external services, implementing cost-mitigation strategies where possible
- Handle variations or instructions during the marketing and legal phases to ensure smooth completion
- Monitor the performance of consultants, advisors, and agents, escalating issues when necessary
- Obtain all necessary decisions and manage the disposal process efficiently, reporting progress as required
- Ensure disposal outcomes are recorded accurately and monitor the program's progress, addressing any issues promptly.
- Assist the Disposal team in evaluating options, assessing risk exposure, and making timely decisions.
Qualifications
- Degree in a property-related field or working towards a property professional qualification
Desired Experience
- Understanding of Council decision-making processes is beneficial
- Experience in commissioning work with performance indicators, and analysing and measuring performance
- Some experience in negotiating property disposals or similar transactions
- Ability to manage property transactions through third parties effectively
