We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our client's Engineering division. The successful candidate will oversee the management, strategy, business development, and performance of our current business units while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Engineering Manager Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations and personnel across various business units, including Inspection Products, Inspection Services, and CMM & Arm Services.
- Oversee NIST Traceability in the US Metrology Laboratory, aiming for full NIST accreditation.
- Contribute to senior management meetings, providing insights and reports on division performance.
- Develop and implement procedures to meet ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems requirements.
- Maintain key relationships with suppliers and partners, ensuring satisfaction and adherence to agreements.
- Provide technical consultation on projects and ensure the necessary expertise is available within the team.
- Develop strategic growth plans to meet overall growth targets.
The Candidate
- A commercial and technical background is desirable.
- Previous experience in management teams, departments, and budget oversight.
- Quality/Inspection background is advantageous, but not essential.
- Metrology experience is a plus, but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; generally, IT proficient.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Minimum HNC qualification or equivalent, or proven experience in a similar role.
