We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Children's Home Deputy Manager for a solo EBD home in Milton Keynes. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Residential Support Worker looking to take the next step in their career or for an experienced Deputy Manager seeking a new challenge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care.
  • Oversee and participate in the development and implementation of individual care plans.
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of care staff, ensuring continuous professional development and high performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards.
  • Manage shift patterns and rotas to ensure the home is adequately staffed at all times.
  • Maintain a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for the child, promoting their emotional, social, and educational development.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a senior or managerial role within a children's residential setting.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the needs of children with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant qualifications in childcare or social work (Level 3 or above).
