Transaction Reporting Business Analyst / EMIR - SFTR - MiFiD

A leading financial services organisation is currently searching for Business Analyst with experience in Trade or Transaction Reporting on a 6 - 12 month contract basis.

It will be £900 Umbrella Per Day and working onsite in the London office. The role will go flexible after the consultant has proved they are able to work in the client's environment successfully.

We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Regulatory Transaction Reporting Business Analyst with a focus on EMIR and SFTR reporting. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of regulatory requirements and a proven track record in analyzing and interpreting complex data. Prior experience with SQL is highly beneficial.

Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze, review, and interpret regulatory reporting requirements, specifically EMIR (European Market Infrastructure Regulation) and SFTR (Securities Financing Transactions Regulation).
  2. Provide business and data analysis to support and enhance the regulatory reporting function.
  3. Develop and maintain detailed business requirements documentation, ensuring that the regulatory reporting requirements are accurately captured and understood.
  4. Work closely with IT and project teams to design, test, and implement suitable solutions for regulatory reporting.
  5. Assist in the creation and implementation of new procedures and controls in response to new and changing regulatory requirements.
  6. Monitor changes in the regulatory environment and assess their impact on the business, ensuring compliance at all times.
  7. Contribute to the development and execution of test plans to ensure the accuracy and completeness of regulatory reports.
  8. Liaise with different teams across the organization to ensure data integrity and accuracy in regulatory reporting.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or related field.
  2. Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within a regulatory reporting environment.
  3. Strong understanding of EMIR and SFTR reporting requirements.
  4. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data and produce relevant insights.
  5. Proficiency in SQL is highly desirable.
  6. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  9. Knowledge of other financial regulations and reporting requirements would be an asset.
