Job Title: Deputy Manager - Holywell Park Residential Nursing Home, part of the Walden Care Group
Reporting to: General Manager
Hours: 40 hours per week, with flexibility required to suit the needs of the home, including some nights and weekend work.
Salary: £54,700
Job Purpose: To achieve the highest possible standard of care in a professional manner through direct nursing care and effective supervision of staff. Ensure all company policies, procedures, and legal requirements are adhered to.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure staff contribute to efficient running of the home and create a positive atmosphere for service users
Provide direct nursing care, report on service user health, and ensure dietary needs are met
Maintain service user care plans and records
Administer medications per company procedure and NMC guidelines
Maintain effective communication with service users, relatives, and the multidisciplinary team
Ensure efficient use of resources and adherence to company policies
In the absence of the General Manager, take on additional responsibilities like filling staff vacancies, managing HR processes, and overseeing home operations
Person Specification:
Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
Previous management/supervisory experience
Excellent communication skills and ability to lead an effective team
Commitment to providing the highest level of care and support
