Exciting opportunity for an Audio Visual Technicians to join a very well established technical services provider.

This role is ideal for individuals with a keen interest AV technology and a background in installation and maintenance of technical systems/software.

While prior AV experience is preferred, the company will offer specific training on the products, software and systems they use. The key thing they are looking is a Technician with the right approach and some relevant installation/technical support experience.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Conduct customer site surveys and electrical installations, including cabling and infrastructure for AV systems.
  • Install and integrate devices for Audio and Video Conferencing systems, ensuring all work exceeds codes and standards.
  • Perform inspections of AV systems under construction and provide technical support to the team.
  • Ensure quality and safety standards are maintained throughout all AV work.
  • Responsible for the rack and stack of various equipment racks, dressing, terminating, labelling, and testing cabling.
  • Interpret construction drawings, cable pull schedules, and AV System Schematics to accurately install and connect devices.
  • Assist with commissioning and testing of newly installed systems, verifying cabling, checking power/signal flow, and troubleshooting issues.
  • Handle situation reports, maintain site inventory, assist with deliveries and clean-up, and perform asset tagging and other ad hoc duties.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in commercial or industrial electrical or AV projects is beneficial.
  • Hands-on experience with installations and AV systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • Electrical Qualification (City & Guilds or equivalent) would be desirable
  • Valid Driving License and willingness to travel and be on-call as needed.
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and a good team player with effective communication skills.
