Elevation Accountancy and Finance are delighted to be working with a great business in the Bradford area as they look to recruit an Assistant Accountant into their team on a full time, permanent basis.
The successful candidate will provide support to the Finance team with the day to day running of the department, including month end duties.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Posting journals
- Purchase and sales ledger, including credit control, when needed
- Daily and monthly bank reconciliations
- Nominal ledger reconciliations
- Supporting other members of the accounts department in the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Supporting with the audits and information required by other external parties
- Processing of expenses
- Other ad-hoc duties as required
- Undertake project work as and when required and support Operational Managers
- To be committed to own continuing professional development.
- To work alongside the other Finance team and assist with any queries/tasks as required
Person Specification:
- Ideally recently qualified AAT or Accounting graduate
- Sound experience in all round accounts role
- Effective communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work within limited supervision; to make decisions and use own initiative
- Ability to demonstrate strong IT skills including Excel
- Excellent listening skills
- Ability to work within tight deadlines and to manage a number of activities at any one time
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to deal with sensitive & confidential matters as necessary
- Ensure high levels of data protection and security at all times and swift reporting of breaches
