We are seeking a Campaigns Officer to support a local authority's communications work in South East London. This ongoing temporary role involves providing expertise across multiple communications disciplines and key service areas, contributing to the council's objectives.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Develop and implement communication strategies and campaigns that effectively convey the council's key messages and objectives.
- Collaborate with various departments to support their communication needs and ensure a cohesive approach.
- Produce high-quality content for a range of platforms, including press releases, social media posts, newsletters, and the council's website.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns, providing reports and insights to stakeholders.
- Manage relationships with external agencies, partners, and the media to enhance the council's reputation and reach.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest communication trends and best practices, adapting strategies as necessary.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a communications or campaigns role, preferably within a local authority or similar organisation.
- Strong understanding of different communication disciplines and how to apply them effectively.
- Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in using digital communication tools and social media platforms.
- Experience in monitoring and evaluating campaign performance.
