Electrical Design Engineer

A great opportunity to join a specialist company who design and manufacture lifting solutions for heavy industry both nationwide and globally.
Your new role
Working as part of the design team, you will design electrical and control systems for heavy lifting equipment, detailing specifications, including hardware and software selection, circuits and schematics working to current legislation. You will conduct feasibility studies for new equipment designs, run tests in workshops and in field settings. You will maintain accurate records of all work performed, develop and maintain technical literature accompanying the equipment and support any technical training programs for customers on equipment use, service and repair.
What you'll need to succeed
With a degree in electrical engineering or equivalent, experience in the design and build of electrical systems, experience and knowledge of 400v AC power circuits and 24V DC control circuits. You should be a proficient user of Autocad electrical (EPLAN), have a good understanding of electrical principles, codes and standards.
