The Advocate Group is leading the search for a Senior Category Manager to join a Leading Own Label FMCG Business on a 4-month contract.
You will be responsible for building strong growth partnerships with senior buying team at Sainsburys, acting as the category champion for the business.
The Role
- Building sustainable relationships with senior contacts within Sainsburys.
- Driving the right category growth levers that support the company and customer ambitions.
- Defining and driving category initiatives to tangible outcomes that deliver mutual benefit.
- Support the growth and development of the Category Manager in your team.
- Preparing and presenting category insights & recommendations ongoing both internally and externally.
- Be a leader and representative for the category team internally.
The Person
- Able to start at short notice on a contract basis.
- Proven experience in Category Management within the FMCG industry, ideally in Own Label Food.
- Good analytical ability & critical thinking.
- Experience creating retailer-specific inspiring stories to engage customers in vision & plans.
- Strategic thinker who is also happy to roll their sleeves up.
