FIT Travel Consultant

Established but growing Destination Management Company is seeking a Travel Professional, who has a passion and knowledge of The UK & Ireland as a destination an who is fluent in English, but also ideally French and (or) German. Working as an FIT Executive for this renowned inbound tour operator, you will work in a varied role taking enquiries and making reservations, dealing with clients and suppliers in a 360 role. If you are keen to use your languages skills and have previous experience within the Travel Industry, either from an inbound tours company, a Tour Operator or a DMC, this is your career move! Salary is dependent on experience but competitively offered up to £30k pa, plus wide-ranging benefits, career prospects and bonus. Working within a friendly team this is a hybrid role in Edinburgh. This is a 9 month fixed Term Contract initially, and whilst no guarantees can be made, there could well be further opportunities within the business to enable a long term career.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • A hands-on approach to developing FIT business for the UK from existing and potential new clients. Key to this will be developing a clear understanding of the client's needs and deadlines, offering existing and new programmes to fulfil those needs and ensuring that the client has all the necessary material and information to present this information to their clients whether in brochure or online format.
  • Undertake FIT client reservations in an efficient and a focused manner
  • Ensure agreed response times to clients are met and all reservations undertaken are accurate
  • Deliver first class customer service to our clients
  • Hotel and other service reservations, maintaining strong supplier relationships.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Ideally you will have worked within a similar role for a tour operator or destination management company working and as well as being Fluent English you will have French or German language fluency too. If you have any experience within other sectors of the Travel Industry and languages, we are keen to receive your application for consideration.

THE PACKAGE:
