Risk and Compliance Assistant

Douglas Scott is partnering with a prestigious law firm looking to expand the Housing Litigation team. The firm, renowned for its exceptional industry reputation and client feedback, offers an excellent opportunity for a candidate to change roles from managing a caseload to a more support and compliance based role.

Role Overview:

  • Assisting the COLP in dealing with claims, complaints, DSARs and any associated litigation
  • Assisting the COLP with their work in mitigating regulatory risks and exposures (including but not limited to as set out below)
  • Compliance with the firm's AML/CDD procedures and conducting relevant searches.
  • Maintaining and updating various central risk registers e.g. complaints, professional indemnity notifications
  • Liaising with other members of Business Support Group in relation to relevant projects
  • Assisting in relation to file reviews
  • Conducting ad-hoc research in all areas of risk management
  • Keeping up to date with legal and regulatory information and changes.

Candidate Requirements:

  • 5 years experience within housing litigation or civil litigation
  • Right to work in the UK

Benefits Package:

Salary:

Up to 40k DOE with annual salary review

Annual Leave:

25 days annual leave including bank holidays and birthday day off

Pension:

Auto-enrolment pension scheme, 6% employer contribution

Hybrid Working:

50% Hybrid working model available once probation passed. Flexible start and finish times available
