National Supply Chain - Transport Coordinator

In conjunction with key stakeholders, you will be responsible for delivering a high quality and cost efficient outbound supply chain both through operational and project management. You will be working as part of a growing and developing supply chain team, looking for continuous improvement within your role to simplify processes and maximise efficiencies.

  • This role will be 40 hours per week over 7 days with 2pm to 10pm shift pattern (1 full weekend in 3 off).

Your New Role:

  • Supporting the deployment of the AHEAD Transportation Solutions for NSCM including SAP TM
  • Operating as the Centralised Outbound Planning Team sitting within our NSCM Department working a typical 2pm to 10pm shift with some requirement for night working foreseen in the future - details on interview
  • Internal and external stakeholder engagement of all levels of business
  • Continuous improvement within role, simplifying processes and operations to maximise efficiencies.
  • Support the delivery of the department strategy as required.
  • You will be responsible for delivering a high quality and cost-efficient outbound supply chain Transportation plan daily for one or more Aldi Regions through operational management.

About You:

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of Logistics and Supply Chain, especially Transportation Planning
  • Working with Distribution centres, outbound transport teams and store delivery teams
  • Confidence and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues of all levels
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Organisational skills with the ability to identify and manage priorities
  • Innate curiosity; always striving to improve and simplify processes and ensure consistency wherever possible
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to multi-task, be pro-active and work on own initiative, working both in a team and independently
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; specifically Excel and Word
  • Ability to investigate and analyse a challenge and offer a solution
  • A desire for continued personal development
  • Flexible and resilient when workload demands it
  • Project management skills
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel as required both within GB/IE ALDI Regions
