My client, a long-established SME wholesaler of niche beauty products is looking to expand their business so an exciting change and growth and need an experience Sales Manager to work with the team reporting into the Director

This position will have responsibility for the telesales team of 2 and 2 field-based Sales Executives, so leading the sales team towards achieving sales and gross profit targets. This role encompasses effective leadership and management of both field-based and telesales teams, as well as business development responsibilities for key accounts and new business opportunities.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Drive the achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and gross profit targets.
  • Manage the gross profit/discount relationship to achieve both sales and GP targets.
  • Set team targets, monitor progress, and motivate the team towards monthly achievements.
  • Conduct weekly sales meetings to align strategies and goals.
  • Manage the sales and marketing team in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Directly manage and develop a small number of key accounts.
  • Prospect for and negotiate new customer openings where appropriate.
  • Contribute to regular monthly meetings to discuss key responsibilities related to sales and GP.
  • Manage all sales and marketing fixed costs within the agreed budget.
  • Identify new brands that will add value to the company's brand portfolio and engage in the brand acquisition process.
  • Develop and implement monthly brand promotion programs that drive sales acquisition.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to acquire volume orders through pricing realignment to match competitors where product/SKU GP allows.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven FMCG sales experience.
  • Strong communication and numeracy skills.
  • Results-driven with the ability to work towards targets and meet tight deadlines.
  • People management experience is ideal but NOT essential as very much a established team
  • Takes responsibility and is goal-orientated.
  • Demonstrates leadership qualities and the ability to turn objections into positives.
