Salary up to £32K plus benefits

A leading global Financial Software company are looking to recruit an experienced IT Services Analyst (1st / 2nd Line Support) to join their growing team based out of their Horsham offices. The IT Services Analyst is responsible for supporting, monitoring and fixing the existing IT infrastructure, working on new systems and upgrade projects.

This company are undergoing a lot of new projects and IT system upgrades, so this role will suit an ambitious person who is interested in learning new skills and progressing their career over the next few years. If you have an interest in Cyber Security and Information Security there are good opportunities to learn these tools, technologies and processes as well.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cyber and information security activities in line with their Information Security Management System
  • Checking and monitoring the daily backups
  • Checking and monitoring the email systems
  • Checking, monitoring and installing software patches - desktop, server and application
  • Importing data into the database as needed for development and test teams
  • Providing support to end users including remote office and home workers.
  • Account creation/deletion of joiners and leavers
  • Server/Desktop/Laptop software installs
  • Ordering hardware and software
  • Maintaining the asset database
  • Liaising with suppliers for warranty repairs
  • In addition to the above, you will be expected to perform other reasonable duties which may be required from time to time.

Work Experience:

Previous IT 1st or 2nd line Support experience in a commercial business environment is required.

Technical Experience:

Some experience in the following would be beneficial :

  • Microsoft Windows 10 / Windows 11
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019/2022
  • Virtualization (preferably Microsoft Hyper-V)
  • Microsoft Exchange On-Line
  • Microsoft Office 365
  • Microsoft Active Directory
  • Microsoft 365, Azure AD
  • IP Networks, Switches & Cabling
  • Backup Systems
  • PC troubleshooting and repair

Desirable skills:

Previous experience in the following:

  • Sophos Endpoint Protection, XG Firewall, Mobile Control
  • Arcserve Backup & UDP
  • Oracle Databases
  • Client to Site VPNs
  • Microsoft Remote Desktop Services, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops
  • Mimecast
  • Working in an ISO27001 environment

Extensive training on all these technologies will be given as be part of this role.
