Qualified Accountant

to join a Top 10 Accountancy firm in Great Yarmouth. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who is passionate about client service, enjoys managing diverse accounts, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will oversee the management of client portfolios, ensuring that deadlines are met, and contribute to the overall growth of the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring all accounts and tax affairs are up-to-date and compliant with deadlines.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for clients, providing exceptional service and addressing any queries promptly.
  • Represent the firm at networking events and client meetings to help expand business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with clients on tax planning, liaising with internal tax teams and external specialists when required.
  • Guide and mentor junior staff, aiding their development and supporting their success.
  • Ensure adherence to the firm's standards and processes, maintaining high-quality output in account preparation.
  • Prepare accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and private companies, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Produce monthly and quarterly management accounts in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Engage with prospective clients to foster and cultivate new relationships.

Experience and Skills:

  • Proven experience in preparing accounts for private companies, sole traders, and partnerships with a solid understanding of tax legislation.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, particularly IRIS Accountancy Suite, Xero, and QuickBooks (preferred).
  • Strong experience in preparing management accounts for clients on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a proactive and enthusiastic approach.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and to other regional offices as required.
