Bookkeeper/Accounts Clerk

We are recruiting for an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Clerk to join a team based near Richmond.

The role and responsibilities:

  • To manage a portfolio of clients' accounts
  • To input into sales and purchase ledgers
  • Producing VAT returns
  • To assist the Accounts Team with monthly management reporting and debtors' reports
  • Weekly and monthly bank reconciliations
  • Any other reasonable duties as required within the team

The skills they are looking for:

  • Have a relevant accounting qualification or equivalent in experience
  • At least 3 years' experience in an accountancy/book-keeping role
  • Experience of IT systems - Sage, Xero
  • Good level of numeracy and analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritise busy workload
  • Ability to work independently and to tight deadlines
  • Ability to act on own initiative whilst also working within Company processes and procedures
  • Good organisational skills
  • Pays attention to detail
  • Interpersonal skills - ability to communicate with people at all levels
  • Possesses tact, discretion, and respect for confidentiality
  • Experience within a professional services organisation preferred, but not essential
