Are you a data enthusiast who is passionate about analysing data, creating visualisations and solving complex problems. Our client is a fast-growing technology innovator, located in stunning offices near Southampton and Portsmouth in Hampshire. You'll be joining a dynamic team bursting with energy, enthusiasm, and innovative ideas, all while working alongside an inspiring Technical Director.

The Opportunity:

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in driving business performance through data-driven insights and effective communication. You will be proficient in SQL and BigQuery and work across different teams to help improve performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive reports and visual aids using raw data to closely monitor and track KPIs.
  • Turning large data sets into meaningful insights that drive business decisions
  • Support forecasting processes through detailed data analysis.
  • Perform data mining using Google BigQuery to uncover insights.
  • Investigate operational requirements, identify problems and opportunities, and propose effective business solutions.
  • Identify trends in key business areas and recommend changes to optimize performance.
  • Collaborate with various departments, such as Billing, Support and Software Development to communicate data findings and trends.
  • Update and distribute daily performance reports to keep the team informed about business performance.

Requirements:

  • Over 5 years of experience as an Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
  • Proficient in writing queries using SQL.
  • Proficient in using BigQuery.
  • Previous use of Looker would be advantageous.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Experience working with large datasets.
  • Strong administrative, organizational, and time management skills.
