Our client is currently seeking a dynamic and IT competent individual to join their team as a Purchase Ledger. If you're an experienced Accounts Payable professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of invoices, then this temporary role is perfect for you.
Located in Quedgeley, Gloucester, the office is conveniently situated near Waterwells Park & Ride, with parking available. This ideal location ensures easy access to work, allowing you to make the most of your day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Effectively manage and process a high volume of purchase invoices.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date purchase ledger records.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address any invoice-related queries.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Assist with ad-hoc accounting duties as required.
- Assist with account management, including resolving any invoice discrepancies and responding to vendor inquiries.
- Assist with month-end closing and reporting activities.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in Accounts Payable or Purchase Ledger.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in SAGE 50 and Excel.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new systems and processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- A proactive approach to work with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
