marketing and Business development coordinator

Our client isan international law firm with a market leading international disputes practice, is seeking a Business Development (BD) Coordinator to join its busy Marketing and Business Development team in London.

This London-based role will be a key member of a small marketing and BD team, which operates out of the firm's New York and London offices and serves 19 offices worldwide.

The successful candidate will be technologically savvy and have excellent academics. You will need excellent written and verbal communication skills and a liking for working with diverse and internationally oriented colleagues.

In addition to being a strong communicator the candidate must be able to take responsibility for projects and manage relationships internally and externally. You will be a high-energy, collaborative, constructive team player. Law firm or other professional services marketing experience would be a plus.

Responsibilities include:

  • Putting together pitch documents and coordinating responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
  • Researching, writing, editing and laying out a variety of other marketing materials, including:
  • Directory submissions, on occasion Managing website content such as bios, practice descriptions, and news items Internal and external HTML communications, including bulletins, newsletters, announcements, and invitations Managing the social media platforms, on occasion
  • Advising partners on strategic decisions around business development initiatives work with the marketing team and partners to develop effective communications practices and introduce best practices

Core Duties will include:

  • Undergraduate degree required with previous experience in a business development or marketing team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills a prerequisite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Level of proficiency with Canva desirable but not essential
  • Excellent editorial and proofreading skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Previous law firm or other professional services firm experience preferred
  • Confident, energetic and self-motivating
  • Collaborative team player
  • Ability to work under time pressure and juggle multiple tasks without dropping standards
