This well-established boutique hotel and fine-dining restaurant near Oxford is looking for a dynamic hands-on General Manager to lead the team. The hotel has 23 bedrooms, 2 restaurants, an award-winning cocktail bar, private dining rooms and events space, with a full portfolio of weddings and functions throughout the year.

All departments are smart, well-organized, and professional. Standards throughout are high.

As GM you will be responsible for all aspects of the day to day running of the hotel including.

  • Taking a hands-on and direct approach with the team and the day-to-day operations.
  • Setting policies and processes, including standards of practice.
  • Ensuring full compliance with all health and safety regulations.
  • Managing employee and guest feedback.
  • Overseeing all rotas and shift planning.
  • Assist and oversee the recruitment and training of all employees, dealing with HR related queries, performance reviews, and payroll
  • Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance; as well as maintaining budgets and optimising expenses

Experience Required

  • Minimum 3 year in a similar role.
  • Full understanding of cost management, GP and profit/loss.
  • Up to date with Epos software, online reservations and payroll management.
  • Attention to detail. Customer focused
