The College delivers a significant volume and market share of Apprenticeship standards ranging from Intermediate and Advanced through to Higher levels from its two campuses in Newcastle-under-Lyme and Stafford.

We are looking for an Assessor in Business, Digital and IT within our Adult Learning Team.

Our ideal candidate will be an inspiring Assessor who will be required to deliver high quality apprenticeships and word based training to local employers.

The successful candidate will be required to deliver high quality apprenticeships and work based training to local employers. You will assess our clients/apprentices in their place of work, and seek to combine a speedy achievement for our employers with a quality product for our candidates as well as developing and maintaining relationships with our local employers. Current experience in business, digital and IT is essential.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To effectively implement the assessment, marking and feedback for a range of Business, Digital and IT online qualifications. Including: Digital and IT, Event Planning, Customer Service, Team Leading, Cyber Security and Business.
  • Undertake full ownership and responsibility for the assessment, marking and feedback of learners work within an agreed targets and timescale.
  • Track, monitor and support learner engagement, progress and achievement of units through the online learning platform.
  • Carry out scheduled live chats, webinars and virtual classrooms to help and support learner development and progress.
  • To contribute to course review, internal verification and self-assessment procedures within the area as appropriate.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Has current or previous experience as a Business, Digital or IT Assessor
  • Has thorough understanding of IQA and EQA.
  • To hold appropriate Assessor and / or Teaching qualifications is essential.
  • Holds a higher level, degree or other relevant qualification.
  • Is an effective communicator, able to deal successfully with all levels of management, apprentices, tutors and employers.
  • Is organised and able to manage the peaks and troughs of a varied workload.
