BUSINESS ADVISOR

A 6 month temporary assignment for a leading UK media company!

BUSINESS ADVISOR ROLE:

  • Participating in projects, working groups, and initiatives by providing information as required to help the group achieve project goals
  • Supporting the implementation of strategic priorities and policies by providing and collating information as required
  • Supporting the monitoring of financial performance against budget, working with finance specialists and the management team to devise remedial actions
  • Supporting policy and procedure compliance by working with divisional specialists as required
  • Providing business support as required in an innovative, responsive, customer-focused, and cost-effective manner
  • Working closely with business support functions and other key stakeholders to ensure the business is effectively supported
  • Participating in the full range of support activities, including supporting human, financial, and physical resource allocation and the management of workflow through the team
  • Supporting the process of monitoring objectives, coordinating with team members on plans to meet objectives, and monitoring and reporting progress, negotiating an appropriate structure to measure performance going forward
  • Providing the management with business support to ensure the designated service and function is delivered in an innovative, responsive, customer-focused, and cost-effective manner
  • Coordinating the business planning calendar, ensuring delivery and monitoring output
  • Supporting the delivery of projects, including identifying and delegating appropriate tasks and monitoring delivery

BUSINESS ADVISOR ESSENTIALS:

  • Qualification in Business Management or equivalent
  • Experience of providing business administration and management assistance in an environment of similar complexity.
  • Project management skills with an ability to improve organisational effectiveness and support a culture of continuous improvement
  • Effective communication and influencing skills both orally and in writing and ability to target content for the audience.
  • Strong computer skills with strong experience of office software packages
