Our client, a social housing provider in Blackburn is looking for a Housing Support Worker to work within their Young Persons Foyer.
Responsibilities of the Housing Support Worker include:
- Managing a caseload of around 12 clients aged 16- 25 years
- Liaising with Local Authorities housing teams surrounding new applications
- Supporting in the maintenance of the client waiting list
- Assessing new clients support needs
- Ensuring clients understand, and abide by their tenancy agreements
- Enabling clients to access employment, education and training opportunities
- Safeguarding clients and reporting any concerns
- Monitoring tenants rent accounts and supporting them to maximise their income
- Promoting clients to live independently and build lasting life skills
Essential criteria of the Housing Support Worker include:
- Enhanced DBS
- Experience within a similar supported living environment
