Relationship Director - Development Finance
Up to £90,000 + Bonuses

Role Purpose for the Relationship Director - Development Finance:
To generate and protect profits by developing and transacting new property development finance business in the Midlands, London & South East and ensuring that risks are mitigated by the efficient structuring, management and control of the loan portfolio and associated activities.
Responsibilities for the Relationship Director - Development Finance::
- Understand the lenders credit policy, lending appetite and proactively identify and action sales opportunities in order to meet business objectives.
- Manage and develop own portfolio of business customers. Meet growth, performance and income targets through the proactive development of new business from professional network.
- Independently analyse opportunities, critically evaluate, prepare and submit applications for new proposals to Credit Committee, ensuring appropriate commentary and analysis to aid decision.
- Proactively manage all transactions from Credit Approval through to completion alongside the new deal team.
- Achievement of growth, income targets and adherence to the lenders standards in respect of operational and regulatory risk both pre-credit approval and in-life.
- Post-drawdown ensure an effective handover is provided to either Associate or Relationship Director who will assume direct responsibility for the connection
- Maintain delivery of a high quality service to customers as required.
- Ensure that all clients are fully compliant with the lenders AML policies and procedures
- Ensure that KYC procedures including the requirements for in-life reviews in accordance with the AML framework on all customer connections are adhered too.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with key business partners to maximise potential growth of business.
- Build knowledge and understanding of relevant markets and customers in order to anticipate and meet their needs.
- Monitor market developments and competitor activity. Recommend and implement appropriate action to ensure the lender competes effectively working closely with the Business Development and Marketing Director within Property Development.
- Demonstrate the highest level of credit stewardship and in-life loan management and actively support the monitoring of credit portfolio and take action as necessary to minimise risk and ensure quality account management.
- Manage relevant Management Information and ensure appropriate action is reported.
- Review credit applications in accordance with policy and take action as necessary to minimise risks and ensure quality account management of the credit portfolio
- Provide input to lenders policy including lending guidelines, product development and overall risk management
Skills and Experience sought for the Relationship Director - Development Finance::
- Able to generate >£40m new business annually
- Build and maintain a portfolio of c30 - 40 projects / customers
- Significant proportion of new business is ultimately written from existing customers
- All credit papers are produced with high level of accuracy and in a timely fashion
- Portfolio well managed with all active sites visited quarterly
